Does EDF offer a variable rate tariff?

Yes, it does offer one, and you can see here the pricing information about their standard variable tariff option below.

However, it is important to note two things:

  1. This is the default tariff that existing EDF customers will be switched to if they allow their contracts to expire without resigning.
  2. This is a variable rate tariff, which means that the rates are going to reflect the ongoing cost of energy within the UK.

What fixed rate tariffs does EDF have?

EDF actually offers several fixed rate tariff options, but amongst their most popular tariffs that they offer are four separate fixed rate plans. While three of them are named “Easy Online” and vary in the length of the contract, the fourth is a tariff plan aimed towards electric vehicle (EV) owners to assist in the expense of charging their EV.

Does EDF offer business tariffs?

EDF Energy offers as many as 9 different tariffs for SMEs. However, as with all business tariffs, your rates will depend on the size of your business, where your company is based, how much energy it uses, and what your peak load hours are.
EDF can cater to businesses of all sizes, offering customised Performance Contracts for enterprise-level businesses that spend over £1 million a year on their energy.
EDF offers one variable rate tariff and 8 fixed-rate options, ranging from 1-4 years. While the one-year fixed plan usually works out cheapest, you may find yourself paying more in the future if energy prices increase.

Hi William ,my EDF contract is due to expire at the end of August 2021. I am happy with EDF so could you advise me if I can renew my contract for next year or so with a similar or identical contract for both my energy supplies?
